Congressional App Challenge

Our office is excited to participate in the Congressional App Challenge. Every year, this nationwide competition allows middle and high school students from across the country to compete against their peers by creating and exhibiting their software application, or “app”, for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice.

The App Challenge takes place every fall. Middle and high school students who attend a school within Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District are welcome to apply. Students may register as individuals or as teams of up to four. No more than four students are allowed to form a team.

Those interested in participating in the 2021 Congressional App Challenge are encouraged to register here starting from June 24, 2021. Students will have until November 1, 2021, to register.

All submissions must be received by November 1, 2021. Apps will be judged by a panel of individuals within the academic, software and entrepreneurial fields. The winning student’s app will be featured on the U.S. House of Representative’s website, as well as on display in a U.S. Capitol exhibit.
